This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are full of energy. They have a wide range of abilities and learning styles. Each student possesses a distinct personality that dictates how they process information. It is a joy adapting to their unique capabilities. My students are a great representation of the diverse society that we live in.
As an educator, it is quite rewarding to work with students who have developmental disabilities.
They all bring a different perspective into the classroom. Their individual needs have to be met while establishing a uniform routine. In spite of their disabilities, my students are quite insightful and I have learned much from them.
My Project
This project aims to teach students about the importance of keeping a clean work space and how to practice proper safety measures. They will be shown how to use the resources independently and why it is advantageous to do so.
This particular project looks to cover some of the basic safety and educational needs of the students to start the school year.
The supplies listed cover several cleaning basic so that the students work area remains sanitized. In addition to using the supplies to keep the area clean it will also be used to demonstrate the importance of having a clean work space. The project also includes basic educational tools that students may not have access to at home, such as, a calculator, a ruler, pencils, and other general supplies.
