Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is located in a small farming/military community and has a diverse population. Many students come from a low socioeconomic background and occasionally have unstable home lives and roles models.

Social and emotional growth is essential to the development of healthy peer relationships.

Our school teaches the Character Strong curriculum which has suggested book recommendations to go with each character trait. Our classroom is filled with eager learners who love storytime and the discussions that follow. I would love to be able to read the weekly coordinating books to help generate real world connections for my students, and each essential character trait.
