Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We have an awesome opportunity to impact the emotional well-being of these students. The thickened plush floor pieces will allow kids to use their senses when sitting on the floor. The sandbox and toys will allow for a creative expression of feelings.

The toys and fidgets will help with expressions of feelings and emotions, so the students can name their emotions.

Other objects will help ensure the kids feel safe in the room, i.e candle warmers and sound machines. Sensory items will help with expression, leading to healthier kids and improved classroom behaviors.
