This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a special education teacher specializing in students with social and emotional support needs. One of the most important aspects of supporting my students is helping them identify their feelings and how to effectively manage feelings at school to be academically successful.

I have selected evidence-based tools to help support my students in addressing physical and verbal aggressive behaviors, property damage, and/or elopement (leaving the classroom without permission).

These tools and furniture include a How Do I Feel color chart poster, manipulative objects, and bean bag chairs.
