Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

SMS is in Washington, DC, and services students in Ward 7 of the District. The introduction of soccer has led to tremendous behavior and emotional improvement in my students. My students now request to go outside and release their frustration and annoyance on the field.

This equipment (shin guards, goals, slalom poles, socks, and an agility ladder) is needed to help advance their students’ skills, performance, and emotional regulation.

Students are requesting more intensive training and this equipment will bring them access to it. Your support in making this project a success would provide students with an opportunity to increase their soccer ability and emotional regulation. Thank you again for your support; my students will make gains due to your support.
