Soccer into SPACE!

My students need soccer balls, gloves, and a practice goal to learn winning skills to compete with other continuation school teams!

My Students

Our school serves school students grades 7 through 12 and is located one block from City Hall. Students live in many areas of the city. For the most at-risk students, those with habitual truancy, significant behavior issues, and histories of suspension and expulsion, the goal is to change behavior so that these students will stay in school and earn enough credits to graduate.

This year we are creating a series of classes for "life skills" where students can choose projects and activities that include history, science, literacy, and art!

My Project

Our soccer students will create, exploit & run into space against the other teams!

With new soccer balls, gloves, & a practice goal our team will develop better, faster, and many more soccer skills.

Our team is determined to master the "Hollywood Ball" (an ambitious pass usually only seen in movies!)

Each continuation high school has sports teams that compete with 2-3 other schools with special programs. Once we have soccer balls, gloves, and a practice goal students will start practicing before and after school as well as at lunchtime. Students will organize these sports supplies and make sure they are carefully used and stored.

This will be an exciting sports addition for our students, both for learning and enjoyment!
