My students need flexible seating opportunities to stay focused throughout the day. All students, including students with ADHD and ADD would benefit from this seating.

My Students

I am a first year teacher in a small rural K-12 school. The population of the town I teach in is less than 700 people with half of them being our student population. I will be teaching 5th-7th grade math and science and there is an average of 13 students in each class. 5th grade is the first year where student will not have a recess and it will be hard on them to stay focused for a long period of time.

My students are full of energy, curiosity, and are always ready and eager to learn new things while having questions readily to go!

My Project

Flexible classroom seating is a new trend of classroom seating that allows student movement, student centered learning, freedom to choose, and added health benefits. Alternative classroom seating is a choice provided to students that allows them to work around the room comfortably and helps them stay more focused. These ball chairs will provide students the environment they need to do their best work.

All students, including students with ADHD and ADD would benefit from this seating.

Due to the fact that 5th-7th grade students do not have recess anymore they will be given the opportunity to move throughout the classroom by using flexible seating.
