In our classroom, we work hard to create a space where every student feels welcome, valued, and celebrated. The beginning of the school year is not just about routines and relationship, it’s about building a classroom culture rooted in kindness, empathy, and equality. Read aloud books and classroom decorations will be centered around: "Soar to Your Full Potential". Pete the cat is the best mascot to model soaring to your potential, friendships, empathy, and kindness to all.
To support this vision, I am requesting two books: Pete the Cat’s Groovy Guide to Life and Pete the Cat’s Groovy Imagination, Pete the Cat mascot, and classroom theme decorations.
These stories and classroom set up will foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment where all students can thrive. Pete the Cat is a character who models confidence, respect, and fairness. He reminds students to be themselves, treat others kindly, and approach life with a groovy attitude.
Our hallway and classroom theme this year will center around Pete the Cat to reinforce these messages every day. With books, posters, and bulletin boards inspired by Pete, students will have daily visual reminders of kindness, fairness, and positivity.
