Soaring Into Technology

My students need Chromebooks to help them conduct research and type up their essays.

My Students

My students deserve the best education possible. They are extremely talented, energetic fourth graders, who always seem to put out their best effort in all that they do.

This year's fourth graders live in Manhattan's Chinatown.

They are superstars! Many of them are English language learners and students with disabilities. Many live in single parent homes and receive free or reduced-price lunches. No matter what they face each and every day they give it their all each and every day!

My Project

My 4th grade classroom needs to enter the age of technology. My students need to learn how to conduct research on computers, analyze the information that they learn and then type up their essays and responses. They will need to use computers the rest of their lives and it needs to start now. The standards state that fourth grade students need to be able to conduct research and type up their response but I’m missing the technology to go along with it. In order to meet my students standards I need the chromebooks to bring them to the age of technology.
