My Project

As the end of the school year is quickly approaching, I want to make sure that all of my students have access to tools that will allow them to continue their learning at home/lessen the "summer slide" as they transition into 3rd grade.

I want to make sure that they each have a book to practice their reading in, and a math game to encourage them to keep up on their addition/subtraction facts.

I specifically chose addition and subtraction as my math focus because they are the building blocks for math in general, but especially math in 3rd grade.

We also have been working on productive ways to manage our emotions this year through the use of the classroom "calming corner" and so I want them to have access to tools that will help them to continue to practice these skills at home. I picked the bubble set variation of these calming tools because all of my kids are obsessed with bubble tea this year.
