My students come to school ready to learn and I want to have the opportunity to keep motivation, and engagement high! By doing so, I get to watch each student discover what they are passionate about.
It is important to me that my students thrive to be lifelong learners.
Therefore, providing them with materials that allow them to make discoveries is very important to me.
My students are determined, curious, and thoughtful and I want to continue lighting sparks and instilling a love for learning!
My Project
As the new year school approaches, I want to make sure my students have the supplies they need to be confident, engaged, and successful learners. The notebooks will be used as journals, where students will have the opportunity to express themselves through free writing and by responding to prompts. Journaling will help students gain writing fluency, build stamina, and practice handwriting. The carpet will complete our library nook area, where students will gather to read independently and learn in small groups. Students will be able to use the noise cancelling headphones when they prefer a quieter classroom setting while engaging in their schoolwork. The timers will help my first grade students to keep track of time and help build their reading stamina.
