This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are coming from low-income housing in a Title I school. My kindergarten students (virtually and in-person )are entering kindergarten and have various disabilities. They are underprivileged scholars who need some basic supplies to start off the school year at home and or in school with success. Let's ignite their love for learning.
My Project
Our scholars are really in need of some new readers to obtain reading success! These books will help them learn how to read alone, with each other, and as a class. These early readers are vital for their educational journey.
All good readers need to be able to sink into a good book!
Let's give our scholars that opportunity to do so! Highlighting tape is really important for them as they become sight word detectives. They can use the magnifying glasses to zoom in on those important words while making reading fun! Many of our scholars like to "pretend" to be the teacher. Let's foster that imaginative play through pointers. We can let their imagination run wild in a educational way as they gain more knowledge. Reading should be fun and engaging for everyone! Now we can do that with your help!
