Soaring High with Girls Soccer!

Help me give my students cleats to insure safe urban outdoor game play!

My Project

While I teach in an urban elementary classroom, I think some of the most important lessons my students learn are after school during our girls soccer program. Together with my teenage daughter, we have coached 3rd and 4th grade girls on Fridays for the past two years. It's been amazing to see them grow in skill and confidence as each session progresses.

Low income should not mean low access and definitely does not equal low aspiration and achievement.

The camradarie, team spirit and outright squeals of joy make this time so worth it. Unfortunately not all the girls can afford the cleats needed to play outdoors. Your donation would help insure a safer, more authentic experience and hopefully keep their feet on the team sports path and further their continued all-around development as they move through our program and into the future.
