Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My School District implemented the Soaring Eagle Coffee spot in 2023 and the students have done amazing things with this store. We are looking at implementing a new program for the 2024-2025 school year that offers even more functional and vocational activities that focus on the acquisition of skills necessary for increased independence in the community, at home and in employment opportunities. The targeted audience includes 18 to 21-year-old young adults with a variety of intellectual, physical, and sensory impairments. These young adults will be focusing their time in school on preparing for life after high school, which looks different for every young adult.

With these items the students will be able to design a shirt, use the cricut machine to cut out the vinyl.

The tools providing for weeding will be used by them to weed out the designs and then we will use the heat press to finish the shirt. The student of the Soaring Eagle Store are so excited about starting this new adventure and we greatly appreciate your support.
