Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are all unique and different, but they all work hard. They come from different countries and different families with great background experiences. While some of my students have great travel experiences and have been to different countries there are others that haven't left the city or the state. I love that they all bring their differences and we create a new community where we share who we are and what we have to become awesome learners.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning and they are truly an incredible group to work with.
My Project
My students need to continue to grow and learn new reading levels to fly into first grade. My students will greatly benefit from these books and they will be able to take these books home and practice them at home too. Guided reading is a grand percentage of the teaching to read time and to accomplish this we need books for the students to read.
By giving my students these books you will be giving them the resources they need to learn to read and books at their own reading level.
The best way to increase reading ability is to read and you will give my students books to do so and a variety of titles that interest them.
