This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are working on supporting all students achieve academic success and we are looking at how we can intentionally support students who are not meeting grade-level standards through targeted intervention in their CORE 4 academic courses (English, Math, Social Studies, and Science).
As we embark on our new SOAR Study Skills class, please help me give my students access to mindfulness materials.
This is one strategy we are looking at helping our students with. Some students may need to be taught mindfulness strategies so that they can engage with grade-level content and I am hoping that these materials can help students with a "cool down" corner where they can practice mindfulness while still being in the classroom.
