At home learning proved to be not only difficult, but nearly impossible for so many students. Couple that, with no access to either the public library or the school library, and many kids had severely limited access to books for over a year. These students need and deserve to have books they can read independently, at whatever level they’re at.
Because so many kids are reading at levels below where they would be under more normal circumstances, my classroom library needs a major overhaul.
Book sets are a great way to keep kids reading, and talking about books. I know my students will love these books, and will appreciate the other materials that keep our classroom running smoothly.
