My Students
My 15 energetic kindergarten students need to get organized and ready for a successful school year possibly in person or remote. The best way of doing that is by providing them with different organizational materials and activities. We do many activities throughout the day and try to reach all the students' different learning styles. "The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you." -B.B. King
My students' learning styles and needs are as diverse as their backgrounds, but they all have the yearning to be successful.
Many families of our school have been in the school district for generations. I myself went to this school as a student and I am now teaching in it.
My Project
From March until June I was only able to have contact with my students through a computer screen. It was difficult to see them all so excited to see their classmates but not be able to be with them. Students were saying how much they miss each other.
As we all approach a new school year of uncertainty, the students social/emotional well-being will be an important one.
For this upcoming school year we will need activities and resources that will help the students with their social/ emotional well-being.
Teachers Pay Teachers has many wonderful activities that will help support Emotions, Friendship, Empathy, Anxiety, and Mental Health. The book about emotions will help students understand the meaning of different emotions. The laminate sheets and papers will be used to print out colorful posters for students and to keep the posters clean and reusable.
