This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My group of diverse learners have a variety of interests and abilities. One thing they all have in common is their love of books. Books by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle, like the ones requested in this project, are particularly appealing because of their simplicity and rhythmic nature.

When my students can follow along with their own copy of the book I am reading, it improves their attention and engagement.

These books would be used on a daily basis to promote early literacy skills. My goal is to instill a love of books at a young age to encourage life-long learning.
