The third graders at my school are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. Our classroom is very diversified and has students from all backgrounds with different learning styles. We have students with special needs, students whose primary language is not English, gifted learners, children with military backgrounds, and students that come from low income families. Our school is a Title I school with 100% of our students receiving free breakfast and lunch. My students come into class everyday eager to learn something new.
My Project
We are very fortunate that our school is moving into a brand new building. As with all new schools, we may not have all the furniture we need to effectively store or house our materials. The furniture is an item that we will slowly acquire over time. My classroom is in need of bookshelves to store my reading center.
Third grade is the year students delve deeper into reading.
They begin exploring the world of chapter books. They love looking through the class library trying to find the perfect book to read. Please help me to create the perfect class library to get my students excited to read.
