My Students
We start our day with a song or a poem. My students love to sing and role play. They are so excited to learn and are very energetic.
We count the days on the calendar and sing the days of the week song, and then we go into the reading block.
My students are kindergarteners who are 4 and 5 years old.
We are located in Harlem. Our school is small. We have classes for pre-k to 2nd grade. We are a caring and nurturing school. Our students are engaged in rigorous work throughout the day. Our Reading Block is 100 minutes long and the Math Block is 70 minutes.
My Project
We use headphones for many centers in our classroom. In the reading center, students listen to a book, read a book and take a quiz. The traditional headphones tend to break easily. Some do not work or the wires get a short because the little one pulled the wire. They are always tangled.
In science, we use headphones to hear different informational videos.
It would be great for my students to have the wireless headphones because the cords are a big problem for them.
They are always tangled and sometimes the children get caught in the cords. The students would spend less time dealing with the wired headphones and more time reading and learning.
