My Students

I have a very special group of students. My students come from disadvantaged homes and communities, yet, they still show up to school ready to learn. Even when the odds seem to be against them, they continue to work hard.

Our school serves students in grades Pre-K through 5th and many come from families who are not exposed to arts and crafts.

Our students are hard workers and deserve the best. My students are destined for greatness!

My Project

We need to keep our classroom clean for the new school year! We are returning to 100% in person learning with a minimum of 22 scholars. To minimize the sharing of germs, we need resources. Our campus is very old and we need to rely on other things to keep us safe and healthy.

The humidifier, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, tissues, and air fresheners will promote a clean, safe, and healthy classroom!

These items are on our school supplies lists, but our families may not be able to fund these items along with the other items. Every year, I spend hundreds of my own money to buy supplies that are not given to us by the district or that parents are not able to bring in, but this year we need your help!

These materials will make a difference by reducing the concern of sharing germs. The cleanliness of the room and alternative learning sessions can no longer be the sole responsibility of the building custodial staff. Everyone including the students must be active participants in maintaining a clean learning space. I have allergies and have student with compromised immune systems. Therefore, by funding this project, we can focus on learning!
