Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are energetic, hopeful, and full of promise. Our students work hard each day to make the most of their education, but in a school of over 1400, some face challenges that are beyond their control.
Our school started a closet of personal care products that students can access anonymously so they can attend school comfortably and confidently, allowing them to remain focused on academics.
The items from our closet originally came from a donation to the school, and I hope the lotion from this project will help keep this valuable resource available to our wonderful student body. We anticipate that the more comfortable students feel in their own skin, the more they will attend their classes, thus increasing their chances of academic success.
