My Project

One of the important pieces of making sure a library is open and welcoming to students is to make sure it is clean and ready for them each day. Our custodians work so hard, but often they are spread thin just like teachers. I try to support our custodial staff by cleaning counters/tables/chairs, taking care of graffiti, and making sure everything touchable stays germ free (or as close as possible). This year I would like to add a vacuum so that the area rugs I added to our tile floors can also be cleaned regularly.

Giving students a clean, safe environment is paramount.

By cleaning the counters, tables, shelves, and floors, I am able to ensure students have their very basic needs met so that they feel calm and comfortable in our library space. I try to use our limited building budget to purchase books, so your donation to support our efforts to keep the library clean is so very important.
