I teach a group of eager and very active first-grade students whose needs range from talented and gifted, to students who need intensive interventions to be successful in school. A typical day in our first-grade classroom involves a lot of activity. The students are engaged in learning activities that get them moving, talking to their classmates, and asking great questions. You will not see a lot of worksheets in our classroom.
My students are learning through hands-on experiences and movement.
Hands-on learning is becoming more and more important in the classroom. It’s one thing to be able to read and write about what you are learning. It’s another thing to be able to apply it.

My Project
I am asking for toothbrushes along with toothpaste and travel holders.These items along with snacks will be put into care packages and given to students who are in need.Students learn life skills in my classroom and toothbrushing is important for their health. February is dental health month so I would love to have them in time for our big unit. The snacks will be used to fuel our brains for the new 2022 school year.
Students need healthy snacks to remain focused in class.
Healthy snacks like these snacks will ensure students will be successful in the classroom because they will have brain food. The crackers and gold fish will give the students a great variety to choose from. The students will each of a snack that they enjoy and will enjoy.
