This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students who yearn to learn as children will become life-long learners as adults. Learning can take you on an adventure to ancient civilizations or expose you to new and interesting ideas, whether it’s literature, mathematics, history, or science. Education enhances your life and expands your mind.
Fluorescent lighting can actually make it difficult to learn—it has been shown to affect students’ health and performance in school.
My students need a learning environment that fosters focus, concentration, and creativity. Turning off those harsh, fluorescent lights, projecting a night sky, and turning on warm & cozy table lamps ...now that's what I call ready to learn!
We are asking you to help us make our classroom a thriving, inviting, and healthy space so we can improve our learning as we get ready for middle school and beyond!
