Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a vibrant urban community filled with students who carry roots from all over the world.
Our students thrive despite challenges and adversities!
We want to provide this generation with much needed resources so they can grow to be the leaders, learners, and creators that the future will need
My Project
Many of our students are new immigrants and English Language Learners. Some of them come to the country by themselves and have no immediate family as caretakers. Most often they work at nights and weekends to be able to afford a meal and basic necessities. With NYC schools still slated to open this fall, we NEED masks, disinfectants, and other protective supplies to help keep our students as safe as possible at school.
These sanitizing materials will help keep my students safe and my classroom clean at all times.
My team and I are eagerly looking forward to seeing our new 9th graders this fall. We want to ensure they stay safe and healthy while learning. Please help support this project so that we can teach in a clean environment.
