My Project

A classroom rug is an important learning space. A lot of our learning takes place on the classroom rug, especially for my early learning students.

When we come together as a group on the rug, many skills are being developed, including skills to connect as a classroom family.

We do not have a classroom rug. Part of our classroom has carpet, but it is old and stained. A new classroom rug will help us gather together to support academic and social-emotional skills.

This particular rug will also help us to establish boundaries and aid us in finding our own spaces. The white circles will each represent a spot that can be sat on. This will eliminate the need to space out students and give us more time to focus on instruction.
