While I wrote my grant for help with multiplication facts, I have used this speaker for so many other things. We begin each day with calming sounds that alert our senses and get us ready for the day.\r\nEach math lesson begins with a song about multiplication facts. I am able to broadcast the songs louder so more kids are singing and learning. I use the speaker for calming sounds during afterschool tutoring when kids are trying to keep going for that extra hour. That means that I have to limit the amount of Eddy bucks that I give to students in order to manage my shopping materials. This grant has allowed me to expand my Eddy buck program to all of my classes which in turn is resulting in amazing outcomes.\r\nStudents do homework without being assigned anything specific. They practice math skills just to earn Eddy bucks for shopping. They read and talk about books at home. Students raise their hands in class when they see Eddy bucks in my pocket. They write neatly and help each other. Their group conversations stay on track because they know Eddy bucks are possible. The power of an Eddy buck motivates students to do amazing things.\r\nNow while, I am flooding the market with Eddy bucks, I will move to making it more challenging to earn Eddy bucks. I want students to rise to a higher standard. I just recently won a writing contest. In my writing, I described the fond memories that I had completing a puzzle with my favorite aunt.
