My Project
My name is Gina Matthew, and I am a proud second grade teacher. I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping me create a warm, inviting classroom library where my students can fall in love with reading.
My goal is to build a space where students feel excited and comfortable to explore books—somewhere that feels less like a classroom corner and more like a cozy reading retreat.
To make this vision come to life, I’m seeking donations to help purchase:
Soft rugs for students to gather during read-alouds
Child-sized chairs and seating options to encourage independent reading
Durable book bins for organizing our growing collection
Many of my students come from homes where access to books is limited. A classroom library can provide them with consistent access to stories, knowledge, and the quiet joy of curling up with a good book.
