My Project

Last school year, I was able to gift my students each with a book, reading buddy, and a blanket the day before we left for winter break. The joy that these simple gifts brought to our kids was so infectious, it still warms my heart to think about. That day may have been the best day I've had in my teaching career.

These blankets do so much more than warm our students' bodies.

They are a reminder that they each have teachers and a community surrounding them and supporting them. Not to mention, everyone loves to curl up with a cozy blanket and a good book!
