My 20 tiny and tenacious explorers haven't come to me as of this writing. However, in meeting them on KDHSA's science day, I am excited to know that I'll have a classroom of students from various walks of life, cultural experiences, and levels of development. These students will be the very first students at the Discovery Education Center, opening this September.
My students have been learning with their very first teachers since birth, and I feel incredibly lucky to welcome 20 new, unique and beautiful families to the KDHSA community.
My students are aged 4 to 5, some with school experience from 3 months and others entering the DEC as their first experience with school.
My students are in need of a comfy and engaging place to sit. Morning Meeting is an essential part of my little swamp owls' day, and we'll need to swoop in for story time each afternoon! The rug I am hoping to fund will also help students with their shape and color recognition. The rug's design also supports my classroom community management plan. A rug seems like a classroom staple, but often teachers Pinterest or pay out of pocket to make this a reality in their classroom. I'm searching for amazing donors to help make this dream a reality for my little swamp owls. Hoot hoot, oh yeah!
