My Project

A classroom rug will not only be a comfortable place for my students to gather but will also make our classroom feel more like a home. My classroom is a safe place for students of all backgrounds. I have students with many different abilities. It is important for me to have a comfortable rug for students that aren't quite walking yet or just beginning to learn.

Our class is a family, our classroom rug is the place where we gather to tell stories, build blocks, sing and dance.

The rug we currently have in our classroom is filthy and has become a safety hazard due to rolling corners. This rug will help students establish boundaries by allowing them to find their own space. Carpet time supports learners' academic and social-emotional skills.
