My Students

My kindergarten students are extremely eager to learn. Each of my students come from a different walk of life, but they all come into my classroom and we truly become a family.

Many of my students come from low-income families or from families whose native language is not English.

Despite having hurdles in their lives even at the age of 5 and 6, they bring their all to school and strive to reach their goals. It is amazing to watch their little minds work and grow throughout the year.

My Project

In kindergarten, we do a lot of cut and paste activities to integrate fine motor skill building while also learning. Our scissors are on their last year, becoming dull, and are starting to become difficult to clean if anything sticky is cut.

We would like to start off the year with fresh scissors so the students aren't frustrated and spending more time worrying about their scissors than learning.

The erasers are also desperately needed because as we are learning to become writers, their is a lot of erasing going on in kindergarten. We need quality erasers to help keep our writing beautiful.
