Snazzy Sneakers for Stupendous Students

My Students

I teach at a very dynamic elementary school in a very diverse area. My students come from all walks of life and make up a unique group of learners.

Our school is a warm, nurturing place where students love to come each day to work together and learn from one another.

The children bring out the best in one another. Our goal is to develop the mind and character of each unique child so that they are the best version of themselves.

My Project

Many families, although hard working, have difficulty providing basic needs for their children. With the pandemic, there are even more families having difficulties. Frequently students will come to school with sneakers that are too small, have worn out soles, or are duct taped to keep the sole on.

Some students do not own sneakers.

I am requesting sneakers for students in our school who need them. With COVID-19 regulations in our classroom, children are not able to get out of their seats during the day, except for recess and outdoor gym. It is so important they they be able to move, run, and play. Having to reapply tape or take off your sneakers in the classroom because your toes hurt is not something children should be worrying about. Being able to participate in activities with other children is so important for healthy child development. Please consider donating to this project.
