Kindergarten students love to show what they know and what they are doing. They want to bring their world to life and show their families all that they have learned and experienced!
I teach kindergarten in an Oklahoma school that encourages learning through multiple intelligences.
My classroom has a variety of family backgrounds and cultures. Several of my students are english language learners; they have limited english skills. A picture can help a child tell a story to their family, no matter what their family's background is. This camera has the potential to help students expand their verbal communication skills. Every student, not matter where they have come from, can benefit from stronger verbal communication.
My Project
In kindergarten we are always doing fun and exciting projects and activities. Many days, parents are not in the classroom and do not have the opportunity to see and experience all the fun that happens in Kindergarten. Our class camera will allow the students and I to take pictures to share with their family. This will help parents be involved and see what happens in our classroom.
This camera will help parents and students share the kindergarten experience.
Student will be able to explain what is going on in the pictures and parent will have the opportunity to feel involved with their child's school year. The pictures taken with this camera will help students share their world in such a way that it will leave a lasting memory with both parent and child!
