This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My amazing students are 9th and 11th graders. They are singers, actors, musicians, rappers, poets, authors, scientists but most of all inspiring. This year is the first year that music has been in our halls so we are trying to build up our program.
My school is located in the poorest congressional district in the entire United States.
The projects that you help fund will help my students overcome the struggles they face. Your donation will help bring much-needed resources and supplies to the students at my school.
My students work hard and they love coming to music class. The staff takes pride in what we do. We work together as a family of educators to create the best learning environment for our students. We take care of our belongings because we are very fortunate to have what we have.
My Project
This is an exciting year at my new school! We are building our music program from the ground up and there are so many things to document! We are in need of telephoto and zoom camera lenses to document our journey.
From fundraisers to community projects I plan on having our students document all the growth as we build using the new camera equipment.
It is important to me to teach my students to cherish the memories and I want to help them remember this pivotal time for our school. It takes a lot to build a music program and when they look back at all their work I want them to feel proud of the work it took to bring music into our halls. My vision for this project is to have the students use the equipment to take photos and make videos for the yearbook. The lenses will help give us quality photos and videos for our yearbook.
