Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our school, we believe in building a strong sense of belonging and school spirit—especially for our Title I students. As proud Gators, we want our students to feel connected, celebrated, and inspired to live out the values we teach every day: Growth Mindset, Accountability, Teamwork, On Time, and Respect.

To support this mission, we’ve selected a collection of alligator-themed books to use as PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) rewards.

These books will be awarded to students who are demonstrating our core values—helping them grow not only as learners, but as people.

We’ve also included some fun and meaningful items for our Welcome Back Rally in August, which will kick off the school year with energy and excitement. By aligning our mascot—the Gator—with our schoolwide expectations and celebrations, we hope to create lasting connections that encourage positive behavior and academic success.

Thank you for helping us reinforce our values and celebrate our students in a way that is meaningful, fun, and uniquely “Gator.”
