Snapping Our Way through Energy in 6th

Help me give my students Snap Circuits Green Energy Electronics Exploration kits, Snap Circuits SC-100 Electronics Exploration kits, and other circuit kits.

My Project

Experiencing anything in science class, the most meaningful way is to allow students to get their hands on the actual materials! I teach roughly 60, 6th graders, and our topics range from weather to forms of energy.

Having a class set of snap circuits will allow students to learn many principles of engineering and physical science.

Snap Circuits introduce children to the components of basic circuitry including electronic flow, positive/negative poles, resistors, capacitors, serial and parallel circuitry, and many others.

Also having the "green" snap circuits will allow them to see hands-on how to explore clean energy concepts, such as electric cars, windmills, and hand-generated power. The Green kit also allows them to explore environmentally-friendly energy including geothermal, hydrogen fuel cells, wind, solar, tidal, hydro, and others. Perfect for environmentalists and future engineers!
