Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are at an IB (International Baccaulearate) school which gives my students unique learning experiences. My 3rd-grade students come from a diverse socioeconomic background. However, this means the classroom may be the only place my students are exposed to STEAM projects. I love to see their faces light up when they read the agenda with the word STEAM on it. It is an amazing sight!

My Project
With your help, my students will learn what a circuit is and how a circuit works. My students are very creative and innovative people! I would love to share more STEAM projects with them. I would like to introduce circuits and coding and what can happen as a result. My students learn quite well with hands-on activities and projects. Using both the Snap Circuits and Tinker Labs will further enable my students to be creative and innovative. These are items that are not provided by my school or district. These are items that I would need to purchase myself. I would love your help!
