This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have thirty-two amazing students. They love Minecraft, coding, robotics, and their iPads. They amaze me every day with their technical abilities. Greenscreening, LEGO stop motion movies or Garageband, it doesn't matter, my students are always up for a new challenge. We are surrounded by agriculture and my students want more than that.

"If you build it, they will come." (Field of Dreams).

That is what I am trying to do for my students. I have never met a group of children who are more accepting of the differences of others and it is truly amazing to spend my days learning with them. They come to school every day excited to learn, explore, and create the content being taught in my classroom. My classroom is about building skills to get included. Coding and robotics are part of the future and present. I want to give them a chance at both. They deserve it and they want it.

My Project

The Snap Circuits® STEM kits will help my students explore the world electrical engineering during our STEM Enrichment class. As 5th graders are tested each year in Science, it is important to get hand-on experience with a variety of Science Activities. Students will work in small groups to design and develop projects using electrical circuits. They will brainstorm, problem solve, and become critical thinkers while working with hands on tools related to electricity.

Please help my students explore their passion for engineering with these 4 amazing Snap Circuits® STEM kits.

As 5th school students, these STEM activity kits will help my class ensure that a "bright" future awaits. Inquiry-based learning builds students confidence in their ability to find answers to their questions for themselves.
