My Project

Students study a variety of topics in our STEAM Specials class at EVMS. They are asked to brainstorm, design, build, and test constantly. Understanding the fundamentals of electrical circuits is imperative to opening their minds up to what is possible and practical when making design decisions to solve real-world problems.

Snap Circuits are a safe and fun way to explore how electricity works, without being intimidated.

Because there are no special soldering or wiring tools, and because they are structured like building-block toys, students aren't afraid to try things out to see what works, and learn from what doesn't. This kind of play can foster a life-long love of circuitry and electronics.

The award-winning kits have been loved by teachers, parents, and kids for generations. I've selected the Light and Motion kits specifically to accompany the topics students are studying in their middle school science classrooms, as well as a way to step into "from-scratch" building projects we do in STEAM classes, such as constructing windmills, hydroelectric turbines, machines, and future-city design.

Mr. Rudolf will only receive his materials if this project is fully funded by August 14.
