I have 6 awesome students ranging in grades 3rd-4th. My class is one of two classes in our district for students with Autism. We love learning! My students are visual, hands-on learners who deserve the best academic experience possible!
We spend our days learning about academic subjects, social skills, and we all mainstream into general education classes to further our social skills and make new friends.
Our school was the 36th school internationally to receive STEM certification and we are a STEAM school.
My Project
My students love our class pet Crush, who is a red eared slider. While mainstreaming this year one of the classes we visit has a pet snake and the kids absolutely love it! We need a Zoo Med snake starter kit and a corn snake to be our new class pet. We are so excited to learn about snakes and will be doing research to learn how to take care of him. The starter kit will give us everything we need to get set up for our new pet. We have decided to get a corn snake because they are pretty friendly. Thank you in advance for your support!
