Help me give my students special mail to some motivation to keep up the good work during virtual learning by sending them snail mail with a little surprise!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a diverse first grade, integrated collaborative teaching (ICT) class, with a combined mixture of general and special education students at a large, high-needs, Title I school in the north Bronx. Although the majority of students come from low-income homes or from homes with limited parental school-involvement, they are enthusiastic and truly come to school every day ready to learn. These children see school as a consistent part of their daily lives and strive daily to make me proud.
My 24 first graders are some of the happiest children I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
Not only do several of them struggle with unstable home lives, but many cope with various disabilities, such as ADHD, autism, and speech and language impairments. These kids inspire me to provide the best education I can for them.
My Project
I would love to send this surprise to help motivate these students who are striving to do their best during some of the hardest times they will ever experience. My students are resilient!
These stamps will allow me to purchase other incentives for students.
I want to send my students a little motivation to help them actively participate in virtual learning! I plan on sending them some fun stickers that they can use to decorate their learning environment. I feel as though if students can make their designated work space their own, it will help them get excited about school! With large class sizes the label printer will help me with the addresses more quickly and neatly.
Positive reinforcement is an effective way to motivate students with their work.
I hope this small surprise will give them a boost of energy to keep them engaged.
