Snacks, Water & Masks Are All That We Ask!

My Students

I have the pleasure of working in a Chicago Public Elementary School. I service special needs students in grades K-2 who are eager to come to school and learn. They all are learning through the midst of a pandemic and are trying their best to stay safe and healthy.

Currently, my goal is to help out our students by providing them will a safe space where they can learn, stay healthy, and feel at home.

My Project

My students will have their own water to drink during the day. Since I only service a small amount of special needs students, this supply should last us for a few months. At school, students can only use the water fountain if they brought their own refillable water bottle. To help with cleanliness and easy access, disposable water bottles would be best.

All of these items will be used to help our students feel comfortable and more at home when at school.

Many of my students have behavior plans and need incentives. All of them love snacks. These snacks will be used to help motivate students to make the right choices.

Our district is constantly running short on masks. By having extra masks, students can be sure to always have the right amount of coverage in staying safe. Since I work with primary students who love putting things in their mouths, this is a must. Most of their masks need to be changed throughout the day. I also added the masked guard so that my students can hear what I say easier.

My students also need wipes to help clean off their hands and to help wipe their noses and faces when they come to school with colds.
