This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 6th-8th grade special education students in the resource classroom. My students need a bit of motivation to give it their all. I give them a star on their "star chart" if they work to the best of their abilities. If they get 10 stars, they get a prize. They are so motivated by prizes and especially food.
If they could eat all day they would!
Snacks keep them nourished and motivated. These students would be very motivated by having snacks in the treasure box. Please help with staying stocked in order to keep motivating and incentivizing them to persevere and stay engaged.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
