My Project
As the Snickers advertisement says....you are not you when you are hungry. I'll be the first to admit to that. When I'm hungry, I get tired, impatient, and my brain has a hard time staying focused. So do my first grade students.
The more essential nutrients you have in you, the more energy you will have for brain function. If your brain isn't getting enough blood flow to it, it will have to work harder and it will also work slower.
Fortunately, there is something we can do about it. Eat! That is why I am asking for Baked Graham Cracker cookies, cheese its and fruit snacks for my first graders.
