Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every student at our school receives free lunch. Many students will eat lunch at school and not eat again until breakfast the next day. My students come to school despite the difficult circumstances in their lives. The last thing they should have to worry about is being hungry. Food is a basic need that all students can use help with so they can learn.
Because of this, I would love to give our students a snack to eat as they work during the day.
Students come to school tired and hungry. Learning cannot take place when their most basic needs are not being met. Their brains and bodies need a little fuel. By funding this project you are providing us with a healthy, happy, and not so hungry learning environment!
