Help me give my students snacks to fuel their learning and fun at school!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Maslow before bloom. How can I expect my students to learn if they don't have their basic needs met? Our school is only able to provide snacks 3 out of the 5 days. This leaves many of my students hungry. The majority of our students are on free and reduced lunch and may not be able to bring a snack from home to help keep them fed between meals. Some students come late to school and miss breakfast. I never want a student to go hungry or miss out on learning because they don't have a physiological need met.
Having a cupboard full of snacks will make it so I can easily grab something for those kids who may have missed breakfast and need something to hold them over until lunch or until the end of the day.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
