This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from an inner-city environment and they are incredible, bright, and resilient 10th graders who demonstrate a resolve to succeed in my classroom and beyond! They come to school prepared to grow both personally and academically every day!
My Project
My high school students go through an entire school day, often staying after school to work on extracurriculars, without eating anything. The snacks I requested will help my students. Especially because high school students require more fuel to support their healthy development, I want to make sure I provide opportunities to nourish their body and their mind.
I have found that students focus better after having a snack.
Providing them a snack, especially early in the morning, will help energize and help them with concentration as they focus on their lesson and tasks!
